Andrew 'Drew' Lehmann, 23, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. There will be a Parish Rosary at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the church. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 p.m., and will continue until the Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. There will be a viewing with no family present from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. prior to the service on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a trust being established for his son, Kyson, at American Bank in Le Mars, Iowa.

Andrew Leon Lehmann was born on September 21, 2001 in Ida Grove, Iowa and was lovingly welcomed home in Merrill, Iowa by Dan and Melissa Lehmann. He was named after his favorite uncle, Fr. Andrew Sohm, and the two of them had a strong and loving relationship.

In 2003, Drew was promoted to big brother status when the Lehmann's welcomed his brother Dylan, affectionately nick-named "Bopper". Dylan and Drew were the best of friends with an unbreakable bond.

In 2007, Drew's baby brother Dane rounded out the Lehmann family. Drew loved having another brother to mentor and motivate to be the best he could be in everything, especially sports. Drew coached Dane's basketball teams in many of the Le Mars Ice Cream Days 3 on 3 basketball tournaments. Although they never won gold, they created memories that would last a lifetime.

Drew's proudest accomplishment in life was becoming a father to his son Kyson Jay on February 14, 2019. Kyson quickly became the center of his world and his best buddy.  They took many trips, most recently to the NBA playoffs in Minneapolis to cheer on the Timberwolves. Kyson loved to go to the park and play catch with his dad. Drew was constantly planning what their activities would be for the time he had with Kyson, so he could maximize that time to the fullest. He was the happiest when he was with his sweet, loving, and funny son.

Drew was very gifted with his hands and loved to stay busy. He was currently employed at Scooters Natural Meats in Brunsville, Iowa. This is where he found his people, working alongside his co-workers who quickly became his closest friends. Scott Hoffman, Kyle Britton, and TJ Britton were all instrumental in  Drew's success at Scooters. They took the time to coach and mentor Drew which helped him reach his full potential. They were a huge factor in shaping Drew to be the best version of himself inside and outside of work, especially KB.

Drew loved to longboard, fish, grill (the more seasonings the better), and cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Timberwolves. During his youth, Drew loved to create music and raps.  Even if his songs were not the greatest, he took a lot of pride in making and sharing them with others. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved son Kyson and laughing with his cousins who he loved so much. Drew had the biggest heart of anyone we knew, giving food and money to the less fortunate. Even in death, Drew was still giving. He was an organ donor and his donations will positively affect over 150 people. Drew was misunderstood by many, but loved by all.

Drew is survived by his six year old son, Kyson Jay: his mother, Melissa (Mark) Anderson of Parker, SD; his father, Dan Lehmann of Le Mars, IA; his beloved brothers: Dylan and Dane Lehmann of Le Mars, Ryan Paulsrud of Danbury, IA; his step brothers and sisters: Elijah Anderson, Ruth Anderson, Lucy Anderson, and Victor Anderson of Parker, SD; his step-grandparents, Curt and Ruth Nelson of Marion, SD; his supportive aunts and uncles: Amy (Tate) Benson of Kingsley, IA, Fr. Andrew Sohm of Omaha, NE, Emily (Josh) Gries of Le Mars, IA, Jeff (Mary) Lehmann of New London, MN, Cathy (Bruce) Tullis of Hinton, IA, and Carla (Scott) Rieken of Merrill, IA; his cousins, who were thought of as extra siblings: Emerson Benson, Hannah Gries, Preston Benson, Haley Gries, Harper Gries, Jacob (Sarah) Lehmann, Ryan (Rachel) Lehmann, Kayla (Travis) Hicks, Kyle Rieken, Kourtney (Chad Peters) Rieken, Kassidy (Brant) Voss, Lacey (Jim) Oehlerking, and  Lindsey Tullis, Boston Peters, and Braylon Peters.

Drew is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Terry and Cherie Sohm; maternal great-grandparents: Leon and Delores Sohm and Dick and Doris Delaney; his paternal grandparents, Jake and Sharon Lehmann; and paternal great-grandparents: Melvin and Esther Larson and George and Leona Lehmann.
