Arlys Orban, 95 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 at All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the church. Arlys Jean Siefke was born on November 11, 1924 to Albert and Eleanor (Rolling) Siefke in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was raised in Remsen and graduated from Remsen St. Mary's High School in 1943. After graduation she worked for a few years at a bank in Sioux City.  Arlys was united in marriage to M.W. 'Sam' Orban in November of 1948 and they made their home in Le Mars. Sam passed away on May 22, 2003. Arlys continued to live in Le Mars and recently became a resident at the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.  Arlys loved to play cards! She played bridge for many years and every Sunday she would play pinochle with Sam and her parents. She also enjoyed knitting and embroidery.  Arlys was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen and later All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was active as a volunteer at St. Joseph's and was a member of Catholic Daughters of America.

Arlys is survived by her sons: Jim Orban and Mike Orban both of Le Mars; grandchildren: Misty (Dan) Swink, Chett (Elizabeth) Orban and Chance (Casey) Pierson all of Phoenix, Arizona; 5 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

Arlys is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and twin sisters: Doris (Wayne) Garvin and Donna (Jim) Roepke.
