Leopoldo Armando Martin del Campo beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Accura Healthcare of Le Mars at the age of 84.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at All Saints Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Family and friends will gather at the Wasmer American Legion in Le Mars following the services (110 Plymouth St W, Le Mars, IA 51031).

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would prefer memorials in his name to Feeding America, No Kid Hungry, or your local food pantry.

Leopoldo 'Armando' Martin del Campo was born on December 19, 1939 in Nogales, AZ to Leopoldo and Alicia Martin del Campo.  He moved to Tucson, where he graduated from the University of Arizona and married the love of his life, Sally 'Pinky' Rivera on December 26, 1967. A devoted husband and father, he was also a top salesman at Jim Click Ford for over 36 years.

He was steadfast and loyal in his work and in his love for his family and friends. Armando loved unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and especially his great grandkids. He was always taking care of his children no matter their age. He inspired them in how they chose to raise their own children. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for his family or a stranger, even if that meant giving someone the shirt off of his back. He gave to those in need whether it was a meal, a bed or money. He wanted his children to be better and to give when they could. Always generous, he gave to his family whenever needed and to improve their futures. He was an inspiration to those lives he touched with his integrity, devotion, and spirit.

Besides enjoying time with his family, Armando was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed playing golf and loved watching Arizona Wildcats Basketball. He also enjoyed morning donuts and Sunday mass. He was a lover of music and dancing: fifties and mariachi music, but his absolute favorite was El Son de la Negra.

Armando will be in our hearts, and loved, forever.

Armando is survived by his ex-wife, Pinky; six children: Richard (Hisa) Soto, Robert 'Bobby' (Alma) Soto, Rita (Lynn) Mondy, Johnny Martin del Campo, Larry (Stephanie) Martin del Campo, and Susana (Chad) Golladay; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Gracie; and other extended relatives.

Armando is preceded in death by his parents.
