Ashley Miller, 34 of Le Mars and formerly of Cherokee and Spencer, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2021 at her home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Aurelia Golf Course (601 Valor Rd, Aurelia, IA 51005).

Ashley Amber Miller was born on August 17, 1986 in Cherokee, Iowa to Jon Miller and Sheila (Wilson) Welch. She was raised in Cherokee and graduated from Washington High School in 2005. She attended nursing school for one year and worked as a CNA for several years. Ashley then moved to Sioux City and worked for BioLife Plasma Services. She then moved to Spencer for a short time before moving to Le Mars. Ashley worked for a short time at Wells Blue Bunny and then began working for IML Containers in Le Mars.

Ashley will be remembered as the 'life of the party'! She always had a smile that could light up the room and had such a fun personality. Ashley loved to spend time outdoors: she loved to garden, especially growing flowers, and go fishing. She loved to golf, something she began participating in high school, and even coached volleyball. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and always loved to read. Her favorite time was spent with her children and family.

Ashley is survived by her daughter, Cayden; son, Kevin; mother, Sheila Welch of Spencer, Iowa; father, Jon (Kathy) Miller of Cherokee, Iowa; brother, Anthony (Krista) Miller of Topeka, Kansas; four nephews; one niece; stepbrother, Wayne (Katelyn) Thompson of Primghar, Iowa; stepsister, Roxanne Thompson of Denver, Colorado; maternal grandparents, Gary and Cheryle Wilson of Ruthven, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ashley is preceded in death by her stepfather, Christopher Welch; paternal grandparents, Roger and Esther Miller; and great grandparents: Glen and Teleen Wilson, Roscoe and Eileen Meyerdirk, and Frederick and Mary Kleven.
