Barbara Lynn LaBahn was born July 25, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa to LeRoy and Marjorie (Mayhew) LaBahn.  She was raised in rural Hinton and attended Liberty School, later graduating from Hinton High School in 1965.

Barbara was united in marriage to Fred Robinson on September 2, 1965 in North Sioux City, SD.  Barb worked at Jor Morton Insurance before staying home to raise their three children, Lisa, Linda and Michael.  They lived in Le Mars and Hinton for a short time before moving to their farm in rural Hinton in 1974.  Besides working alongside Fred on the farm, Barb also worked for JC Pennys, Bollmeyer Ag (later called Sioux Nations) and Plymouth Feeds.  She retired in 2012 and enjoyed her retirement years by helping to take care of her grandchildren.  Barbara loved spending time with the grandchildren and kids; in that order.  Her family meant the world to her.  One thing she never failed at was making each child feel special whether that be playing a game such as Uno or Kings Corner, taking them out for a hot fudge sundae, or making them feel safe and secure wrapped up in her soft loving arms.  Mamma loved watching their baseball games, learning to love their football games, listening to them toot their own horns and live to the beat of their own drums at their school concerts, and was recently trying to learn the art of wrestling.  All while sharing a bag of popcorn with Daddy.

Barb enjoyed watching sports, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bulls, especially Michael Jordan.  She loved music and was a Huge Elvis fan.  One thing Barb especially adored dancing with her husband, Fred.  Sewing was one of her many gifts, having made a baptismal dress for her only granddaughter which is set to become a family heirloom.  Barbara enjoyed bowling, playing cards, puzzles and video games, especially Pac-Man.

Barb was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she had been active in AAL and Vacation Bible School.

Barbara is survived by her children: Lisa Robinson, Linda (Rod) Weitzel, and Michael (Bobbi) Robinson, all of Hinton; grandchildren:  Brandon Robinson, Keaton Weitzel, Arich Weitzel, Addision Weitzel, Kolton Robinson, Wyatt Robinson and Garrett Robinson;  sister, Cheryl (Paul) Engle;  brother, Bill (Sue) LaBahn;  sister-in-law, Jocelyn Robinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Barbara was preceded in death by the love of her life, Fred on December 17, 2020 and by parents; parents-in-law, Malcolm and Viola (Kounkel) Robinson; siblings-in-law:  Diane Goodon, Dan Robinson and Glenda (Ron) Jordan.
