Obituary

Betty Ann Beeck , 91, of Akron, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Hawarden Regional Healthcare in Hawarden, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa.  Pastor Susan Juilfs will officiate.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Akron.  Visitation with the family present will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa.

Betty Ann Willer, the daughter of Edward and Annie (Eilers) Willer, was born November 26, 1930, in Akron, Iowa.  She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Trinity Lutheran Church.  She attended country school in Plymouth County, Iowa.

Betty was united in marriage to Albert Beeck on June 22, 1952.  Betty loved growing up on the farm, especially the baby animals in the Spring.  She helped her husband farm side by side for 23 years in Union County, South Dakota.  They moved to Akron in 1976.  Albert passed away July 8, 2013, in Akron.

She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  She loved people, no matter how old or young.  She and Albert were leaders of Scattered 4-H club for 11 years.  Her family was her pride and joy.  Betty passed her love of cooking to her children.  She taught her daughter how to sew at a young age.  She also loved to crochet and do ceramics.

Survivors include her son, Allen (Val) Beeck; her daughter, Judy Schink; her daughter in law, Charlotte A. Beeck; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two young sisters, LeAnna and Elsie; two brothers: Donald (Elwanda) Willer and Emil Willer; a sister: Frances (Raymond) Barinsky; her son in law, Darwin Schink; and her son, Arlin Beeck.
