Brenda (Juhl) Rose, age 83, passed away at home on October 17, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be from noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

She was born 9-18-1942 to Andrew Juhl and Gertrude (Gertie) Theilen at Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars, Iowa.

Brenda attended school in LeMars, graduating from High School in 1960. She graduated in 1965 from Westmar College in LeMars majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Music. She then went on to teach as an elementary teacher for 34 years in Adrian, Minnesota. During her teaching career in Minnesota, Brenda was awarded "Teacher of the Year" in 1994 and 1999. Brenda developed many good relationships with fellow teachers and had a special love for each of her students.

With her minor in music, Brenda became an accomplished musician, with a focus on the piano and organ.  She also took harp lessons in the early 1990's. She played organ for her local church in Adrian for many years and was the primary accompanist for Adrian school events like chorale concerts, musical stage productions and other events.  Brenda also taught Head Start in Adrian during the summer months.

Brenda also enjoyed crafting, quilting and sewing as spare time hobbies.

Brenda Juhl married Harold Rose on July 4, 1994, at St. John's Lutheran Church in LeMars.  Brenda and Harold loved to travel that included trips to Hawaii, and they visited Germany twice.

Brenda is survived by her nieces Heidi (Chuck) Cram and Lisa (Robert) Rhea, and nephew-in-law LaDon Rydberg along with great nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Gertrude Juhl; Brenda's husband, Harold and his parents; her sister Janet Martin and husband Glenn; and her niece, Brenda (LaDon) Rydberg.
