Bruce Betcke, 54, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at his home in Le Mars.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.  Reverend Jan Christensen from the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars will officiate.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Bruce Alan Betcke, the son of Randall Betcke and Carolyn (Epling) Dau, was born on April 24, 1970, in Le Mars, Iowa.  He grew up in Le Mars, where he attended school.

Following his schooling, Bruce worked various jobs in Le Mars and Sioux City until his health began to fail.  Although he was unable to work, he made the most of his life, always willing to help others in their time of need.

He enjoyed attending bible studies.  Taking trips around the area or in other states checking out the scenery was also an enjoyment.  He enjoyed fishing, especially with his mom and stepfather.

Survivors include his daughter, Adrianna Reinert of San Antonio, TX; his mother, Carolyn Dau of Le Mars, IA; his sister, Tresa Clausen of Des Moines, IA; his step sisters, Colleen Dau, Suzanna Dau Doupnik, and Sheila Kirsch, all of Omaha, NE; his aunt and uncle, Peggy and Mark Davis of Florida; and other extended relatives.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Roger Dau; his uncles, Jim Epling and Byron Epling; and his grandmother, Idabelle Epling.
