Carrie (Roder) Fenner , 48, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars from heart disease.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2021 at ReJoice! Community Church in Le Mars. Pastor Mike Metten will officiate. Private family burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be anytime after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at ReJoice! Community Church in Le Mars. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .
Carrie Lynn Roder was born September 19, 1973 in Orange City, Iowa, the daughter of Ronald and Marge (Grady) Roder. She was baptized and confirmed at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1992. While in high school, she played the volleyball team and danced with the drill team. Carrie attended college and graduated from Westwood Community College with a degree in computer science and technology.
Carrie worked for Wells' Dairy in Le Mars. She later served as the manager for Taco Bell in Le Mars for a few years before going to work for BoDean's Baking Company in Le Mars.
Carrie married Michael Fenner in 2000. To this union, two children were born, Austin "Bubba" and Samantha.
Carrie enjoyed singing, crocheting, and working with flowers. She was an independent person as well as very handy. She could fix just about anything. Her children were her greatest joy.
Survivors include her children: Austin "Bubba" Fenner of Le Mars, Samantha Fenner (fiancé Cole Holton) from Bowie, MD, and Dakota Utesch of Le Mars; her mother, Marge Roder of Le Mars; her siblings: Terry (Patty) Roder of Le Mars, Michelle (Tim) DeLarm of Le Mars, Jeff (Mary) Roder of Merrill, IA, Jackie (Jason) Chapman of Rochester, MN, Wanda (Cory) Gagnon of Merrill, IA, and Cindy (Chris) Hughes of Westfield, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Roder; and her nephew, Zach DeLarm.
