Catherine Rebecca 'Becky' Wagner was born on June 12, 1953 in Sioux City, Iowa to Marvin and Beverly (Mercer) Wagner. Becky was the second of eight children: three boys and five girls.
Becky grew up in the Sergeant Bluff-Luton area where she and her family lived in the Luton school house. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in 1971.
After high school she traveled across the southwest and briefly lived in Wichita, San Antonio and Corpus Christi.
Becky was married to Michael "Mike" Bower for 24 years. Together they welcomed two daughters and three sons: Adrienne, Laura, Dillon, Kegan and Mackenzie.
In January 1995, she was united in marriage to Allan "Al" Kellen. Through this union, Becky gained four additional daughters: Krista, Jamie, Kari and Jenna. Together they welcomed a daughter, Schuylar Kellen.
Becky worked for Saunders Oil Co. for many years before moving to Le Mars, Iowa, and becoming a stay-at-home mother to 10 children. She taught Sunday school classes and coached her children's softball teams. Later, she and Al owned and expanded a successful trucking business, Kellen Leasing.
Becky was an avid Iowa Hawkeye's basketball fan, a gardener, a baker and a collector of all things quirky and unusual.
She found beauty in music, joy in dancing, serenity in nature and freedom in being her weird authentic self. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and her best friends, Rebecca and Melvin Gray.
Becky is survived by her mother; six siblings: Jeff, Rory, Monte, Kerry, Sydney, and Daphne; and her children: Adrienne Bower (Gregg Kilburn) of Sioux City, IA, Laura Bower (Jason Goben) of Broken Arrow, OK, Dillon Bower (Jaky Gallegos-Garcia) of Sioux City, IA, Kegan Bower (Sara Hogan) of Denver, CO, Mackenzie (Victoria) Bower of Portland, OR, Krista (Greg) Russell-Lane of Le Mars, IA, Jamie (Steve) Clair of Carlisle, IA, Kari Kellen of Des Moines, IA, Jenna (Daniel) Daman of Ankeny, IA and Schuylar Kellen of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren: Eusevio Castro, Viviana Castro, Estevan Castro, Adilene Nuno, Graciela Nuno, Caleb Stroud, Taylor Stroud, Dusty Horsley, Daniel Tate Daman, Jonathan Daman, Alexis Bernardino, Madison Kellen, Arthur Daman, Brooklyn Clair, Chesney Clair and Kyzer Kellen; and great-granddaughter, Josephine Regan.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her father; her parents-in-law, Lawrence and Doris; and an infant sister, Dulcie Angela.
