Clayton 'Clay' Borchers, 82 of Sun City West, AZ, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.

Clayton Floyd Borchers was born on March 31, 1939 in Akron, Iowa to Harvey and Marcella (Meyer) Borchers. He attended school and graduated from Le Mars Community School in 1957. He then enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in California. Clay was united in marriage to Patricia Palmer on March 19, 1965 in California. They then moved back to Le Mars where Clay worked full time as a truck driver, primarily driving routes West of the Mississippi River. Patty would often accompany him on his routes. Clay also enjoyed helping his brothers with their businesses, sheetrocking and a meat locker. After he retired. Clay and Patty made their home in Arizona. Clay became an avid golfer in his retirement and even made 3 hole-in-ones!

Clay is survived by his wife, Patty; children: Trina (Ron) Norgaard in Arlington, SD, Nick Borchers of Sun City West, AZ, Gary (Peg) Borchers of Sturgis, SD, and Kim (significant other, Chris) Sloan of Merrill, IA; grandchildren: Ryan (Hannah) Gengler, Dylan Norgaard, Anthony Abbott, and Paige Pederson; 9 great grandchildren; sister in law, Jan Borchers; and other extended relatives.

Clay is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony Borchers; and brothers: Doug (Diane) Borchers and Greg Borchers.
