Cletus Clair Reeves, 86, departed his earthly life on Saturday, March 23 ^rd , 2019 in Springfield, Mo. Cletus was born on the farm on June 10 ^th , 1932 to Clarence William and Mae Bock Reeves. He attended the country school in Seney, IA and graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1950.

Cletus was preceded in death by his father, Clarence and his mother, Mae. He is survived by his wife of 30 years; Dana, sister; Doris Mae Calkins (Don) of Rock Rapids, IA, aunt, Gladys Heeren of Le Mars, IA and many cherished family members

He proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Army from 1953-1955, during the Korean War. He completed basic training in Georgia and was a member of the 35 ^th Tank Battalion in Ft Hood, Texas. After service in 1954, Cletus returned to farming in northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota. He attended Western Iowa Technical College in Sioux City and graduated with a degree in Parks and Golf Course Management. Cletus' faith in love was restored after marrying the love of his life, Dana Doris Lee on August 20, 1988 and moved to Naples, FL.

He was deeply rooted in his Christian faith and was a devout member of the East Naples United Methodist Church. He had a profound work ethic and never started a task he couldn't finish. He loved spending time with his extended family telling stories from childhood, his service and his travels. His heart of gold will be greatly missed.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday April 3 ^rd 2019 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, IA at 11am with a luncheon to follow at 11:30am.

Memorials may be directed to the Plymouth County Historical Museum, Methodist Church of Le Mars or the Wasmer American Legion Post 241.
