Dana Lee Tranby, 82 of Hawarden, Iowa, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Hawarden, Iowa.

Dana Lee Kukuk was born on June 12, 1943. At a young age, she joined the circus as a performer and contortionist. She traveled and lived all over the United States during these years. She was later united in married to David Tranby on June 6, 1976. They primarily lived in Primghar and Hawarden.

Dana loved to cook and they loved competing in different BBQ and chili cook-offs. She loved to spend time outdoors, especially when helping with any farm work.

Dana is preceded in death by her parents; and son, James Barcklay.

Dana is survived by three children: John ‘Tony’ Barcklay, Crystal Barcklay, and Bruce Tranby; several grandchildren including: Amanda (Jeremy) Miller, James L. (Jennifer) Barcklay III, Kristin (Michael) Rosario, and Savannah Tranby; and other extended relatives.
