David Puetz, 82 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.

A Private Service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Arrangements are with Rexwinkel Funeral Home of Le Mars.

David Paul Puetz was born on August 18, 1939 to William and Leona (Heissel) Puetz. He attended school in Le Mars and then enlisted in the United States Army in 1961. After his honorable discharge in 1964, he returned to Le Mars where he worked in excavation and construction. Dave was united in marriage on June 30, 1973 to Josephine Rose (Simmons) Rounds. Dave was a longtime member of the Jags, a local Le Mars band who was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.

Dave is survived by several stepchildren and step grandchildren; siblings: Mary Ellen Farrin, Thomas Puetz, and Donna Norkitis; siblings in law: Joyce Puetz and George Black; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; siblings: Francis Puetz, William Puetz, and Marjorie Black; siblings in law, Wayne Farrin and Ben Norkitis.
