Della Brouillette, 89, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa passed peacefully on March 8, 2024 with family by her side at Brookdale Assisted Living in Greenwood Village, CO.

Della Johanna Janssen was born May 27, 1934 on a farm in Plymouth County Iowa, the daughter of Theodor and Adeline Janssen.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Craig, IA. She attended several rural schools and was active in church and 4-H growing up. She graduated from Le Mars Community High School 1952.

Della married Tony Brouillette February 2, 1958 at St John's Lutheran Church in Craig, IA. They had three children: Bret, Bart, and Kim. Together they owned and operated several successful businesses: Tony's Drive Inn, The Car Wash, and The Kitchen in Le Mars, IA, and The Windmill Restaurant and Drive Inn in Rock Valley, IA. They were well known for Della's homemade salads and desserts and Tony's Broasted Chicken.  They were pioneers of farm to table, as many fruits and vegetables came from Della's flourishing garden across the street.

Della enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, sewing, and quilting.  She became an avid long arm quilter after retiring.

Della and Tony moved to Denver (Greenwood Village), CO in April 2023 to be closer to family. Tony passed December 28, 2023.

Survivors include her children: Bret (Kathy Heissel) Brouillette of Parker, CO, Bart Brouillette of Oshkosh, WI, and Kim (Dick) Corpus of Coronado, CA; eleven grandchildren: Brent, Carla, Ben, Sara, Michele, Kyle, Erin, Kate, Claire, Hunter, and Alexis; and one great grandchild: Sophia.  Della is also survived by five sisters: Delores Harms, JoAnn Kovarna, Betty Janssen, Bev Hultquist, and Barb Hamersma.

Preceded in death by: father and mother, Theodore and Adeline Janssen; bothers: Donald and Marvin Janssen: and husband, Anthony (Tony) Brouillette.
