Deloris B. Milton, 91 of Hinton, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Accura HealthCare of Le Mars.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Hinton, Iowa. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation with family present will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Rexwinkel Funeral Home of Le Mars. Deloris Betty Schindel was born on June 5, 1930 to Ralph and Alvina (Hahn) Schindel in Hungerford Township, rural Plymouth County, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Hinton Community Schools. Deloris was united in marriage to Vincent Milton on April 14, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Hinton. They lived in Kingsley before moving to a farm east of Hinton. Deloris farmed alongside Vincent for many years while they raised livestock. Deloris raised many chickens and sold eggs in town. She enjoyed being outside and in nature; mowing their lawn and gardening in her large flower and vegetable gardens.

Deloris and Vincent loved to go dancing, especially polka dances, fishing and bowling. Deloris also enjoyed quilting. She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the Casper American Legion Auxiliary in Hinton.

Her favorite time was spent cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting and school events.

Deloris is survived by her children: Coleen (Ray) Kissinger of Sioux City, Iowa and Marlin (Pam) Milton of Hinton, Iowa; grandchildren: Shanna (Nick) Kissinger-Erdmann, Jake Milton, Tyler (Krissi) Milton, and Hayley (Scott) Mathiason; great grandchildren: Ryder and Adlee Erdmann, Reagen and Dane Milton, Myles, Marshall, and Brynn Milton, and Duncan, Hudson, and Magnus Matthiason; brother, Leslie (Janice) Schindel; sister in law, Mary Jane Schindel; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Deloris is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vincent; and brothers: LeRoy (Ann) Schindel and Clarence 'Shorty' Schindel.
