Denise Bringman, 66 of Akron, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Unity Point – St. Luke's Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Denise Dale Radtke was born on October 26, 1956 in Akron, Iowa to William (Wayne) and Arlene (Hoffman) Radtke. She was raised in rural Akron, South Dakota and attended country school. She later attended and graduated from Akron High School in 1974. Denise was united in marriage to Paul McFarland and they had one daughter, Heather. They later divorced. Denise also married and later divorced Matthew Bringman; they had two sons: Justin and Jordan.

Denise had a strong work ethic and worked various jobs over the years. She worked in housekeeping at the local nursing homes in Akron, Hawarden, and Alcester and cleaned for residences and commercial buildings.  She also worked at Otis Radio, Custom Coils and bartended.

Denise loved bowling and bowled on a league in her younger years. She enjoyed spending time outdoors; she loved to garden and watch wildlife at her birdfeeders. She was a great cook and always canned homemade salsa. She enjoyed reading romance novels and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.

Denise is survived by her children: Heather (James) Anderson of Alcester, SD, Justin Bringman of Garfield, AR, and Jordan Bringman of Hobbs, New Mexico; six grandchildren: Tyler (Savanna) Kjose, Taylor (Austin) Heck, Halley Kjose, Nevaeh Bringman, Cash Carson, and Sadie Horn; two great grandchildren: Rylee and Ryan Heck; step mother, Marilyn Radtke; sister, Sandra (Ken) McMillan; step siblings: Butch Liston, Sherry Jacobs, and Randy Liston; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents, William and Arlene Radtke; and brother, Gordon Radtke.
