Dennis Lundgren , 75, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at MercyOne in Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at St. John's Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Le Mars.  Reverend Chris Meier will officiate.  Social distancing and wearing a mask are required.  A Webcast will be uploaded to the funeral home website following the service.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars.  Visitation with social distancing will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

Dennis Robert Lundgren was born June 12, 1945 in Le Mars, Iowa, the son of Robert and Irene (Haack) Lundgren.  He attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Central High School.

Following high school, he farmed with his father for 10 years until moving to Le Mars.  He then went to work for Wells' Dairy in Le Mars.  He retired after 31 years of service in 2005.

Denny was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars where he had served on church council and ushered for many years.  He was also a member of the Le Mars Eagle's Club, Le Mars Toy Club, and the Pioneer Machinery Club.  He enjoyed collecting John Deere tractors and going to toy shows and auctions.  He also enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Hy-Vee.  Denny's support for the community of Le Mars was very important to him.  In 2005, he established the Dennis R. Lundgren Charitable Remainder Unitrust to provide and promote healthcare in the Le Mars area.

Denny is survived by many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Irene Lundgren; and his sister, Sandra Fennema.
