Diane L. Riggins, 71 of Akron, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Services will be held at a later date.

Diane Lynn Schuldt was born on August 17, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa to Myron and Ona Mae (Custer) Schuldt. She was raised and attended school in Sioux City, Iowa. She was united in marriage to George Gulbronson and they had three children: Edmond, Michael, and Angela. They later divorced. Diane moved to Illinois in 1979 and then move to Louisiana in 2020. In October of 2022, she moved to Akron, Iowa to be closer to her children.

Diane enjoyed watching TV and creating diamond art. She loved animals and had several beloved pets over the years. She always kept a clean home and was a great cook; a family favorite was her beef and noodles. Diane was a kind and gentle woman and she loved spending time with her family.

Diane is survived by her three children: Edmond (Tracy) Gulbronson, Michael (Kaleena) Gulbronson, and Angela (Joseph) Small; five grandchildren: Samantha, Eric, Trey, Kendra, and Zachary; great grandchildren: Hazel and Emiliano; siblings: John (Faith) Schuldt, Roxanne (Clark) Meyer, and Randy Schuldt; sister in law, Jan Schuldt; best friend, Trisha (Don) Schroeder; beloved pet, JJ; and nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gerald Schuldt.
