Donald Koopman, 68 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Floyd Valley Healthcare of Le Mars.

Donald John Koopman was born on April 26, 1956 in Sioux City, Iowa to Delbert and Phyllis (Freymann) Koopman. Don attended school in Sioux City and later received his GED in 2001. Don served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Don started trucking, driving primarily local but some OTR as well.

Don is survived by his children: Alissa (Koopman) Maeda, Alan (Melissa) Koopman, and Kelsey Koopman; eight grandchildren; two sisters: Anne Koopman and Teresa Koopman; and other extended family.

Don is preceded in death by his parents: Delbert and Phyllis (Freymann) Koopman; daughter, Lora Lee Koopman; and son, Shane Michael Koopman.
