Donna Hoffmann, 76 of Merrill, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Holy Spirit Retirement in Sioux City, Iowa.

Private family services were held. Burial will be at St. Joseph – Ellendale Cemetery in rural Merrill. Expressions of sympathy may be expressed to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

Donna Carol Wright was born on March 30, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa to Melvin and Carol (Foster) Wright.  Donna graduated from Wayne State College in December 1969. She began teaching in 1986 and worked as an ESL teacher in the Sioux City Public School System until her retirement in 2018.

Donna was united in marriage to Marty Hoffmann on August 14, 1971 in Moville, Iowa and they made their home in Merrill.

Donna enjoyed taking motorcycle rides and trips. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her son, Ted (Julie) Hoffmann; daughter, Shawn (fiancé, Brad Helgerson) Hoffmann; son, Jeff (Kris) Hoffmann; six grandchildren: Luke Hoffmann, Jayse Marez, Ayve Marez, Levi Hoffmann, Kali Hoffmann, and Adalynn Hoffmann; brother in law, Terry Horsley; and other extended relatives.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marty (2018); sister, Marilyn Horsley.
