Eilene Rolling , 76, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens, Iowa. Reverend Timothy Pick will celebrate Mass. Burial will follow in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery in Oyens. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Eilene Leona Yates was born April 30, 1945, in rural Le Mars, the daughter of Clarence and Leona (Kisting) Yates. She attended country school near Westfield until the 5 ^th grade and then moved to Le Mars. She continued school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Central High School.

She was united in marriage to Dennis Bjork. He passed away unexpectedly. She later was united in marriage to Jerry Rolling on September 17, 1968, in Ivanhoe, Minnesota.  The couple made their home on a farm south of Oyens.  In addition to working on the farm, she had various jobs, owned and operated Rolling Trophies, and baked cakes for special occasions. Later she returned to college at WITCC where she studied computer science and nursing.   Jerry passed away on September 30, 2013.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens and was involved in Little League and the Le Mars Saddle Club. Eilene had many joys in her life.  She liked doing arts and crafts, cooking, playing bingo and cards, and hosting family gatherings.  She was creative and entertaining.  She also enjoyed sewing and making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren.  Eilene loved to be outside, whether it was camping, fishing, or tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.  Later in life, she enjoyed traveling with friends.

Survivors include her 7 children: Alan (Cheryl) Rolling of Le Mars, IA, Doug Rolling of Merrill, IA, Jeff Rolling of Le Mars, IA, Sue Jacobson of Utah, Bruce (Heather) Rolling of Merrill, IA, Teresa Manning of Merrill, IA, and Julie Rolling (Jared Leising) of Seattle, WA; 12 grandchildren: Nick (Dani) Rolling, Kari (Chris) Weitl, Tyler Rolling, Kyle Rolling, Tony Jacobson, Tanya Jacobson, Britney (Kris) Ohrlund, Josh (Rebecca) Rolling, JD Manning, Ethan Manning, Owen Rolling, and Evan Leising: her great-grandchildren: Caleb, Kaden, Gavin, Benjamin, Jacob, Allison, Amelia, Dustin, Archer, and a girl due in September; her sister: Darlene Bergerson of Kingsley, IA; her in-laws: Dick Williams of Le Mars, IA, Judy (Pat) Kenaley of Milford, IA, and Helen Rolling of Kingsley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Dennis Bjork and Jerry Rolling; two children: Brenda and Brian; her son in law, Dale Manning; her siblings: Charlene Williams, Marlene Henry, and Arlene Klemme; and her in-laws: Mark Rolling, Selmer Bergerson, Lloyd Rolling, and Dale Klemme.
