Evelyn Weber , 97, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at Accura HealthCare of Le Mars.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars. Reverend Jan Christensen will officiate. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. The family will be present at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Evelyn's name to Hospice of Siouxland and/or a charity of your choice.

Evelyn Mary Pech was born December 9, 1921 in rural Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of John L. and Lillian H. (Utech) Pech. She attended country school in Plymouth County before moving with her family to Brandon, South Dakota. She continued her schooling there and graduated from Brandon High School.

She was united in marriage to Walter Weber on February 14, 1940 in Le Mars, Iowa. They farmed near Le Mars, Iowa for many years until their retirement. Evelyn also worked at Council Oak – National Tea grocery store for several years. Walter passed away December 11, 2000. Evelyn continued to make her home on the farm near Le Mars. In 2007, she moved to Park Place Estates in Le Mars before becoming a resident of Accura HealthCare in Le Mars.

Evelyn was a longtime member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars. Through the years, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and making crafts.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Braun of Le Mars, IA; a son: Dennis (Ellen) Weber of Council Bluffs, IA; 3 grandchildren: Michele Wiersma (Shane Hill) of Port St. John, FL, Jeff (Laura)Weber of Lincoln, NE, and Jason Weber (fiancé, Molly Moran)of Crete, NE; her great grandchildren: Taylor and Tanner Hill of Port St. John, FL, and Ethan and Joshua Weber of Lincoln, NE; her sister: Jean Klein of George, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian Pech; her husband, Walter Weber; her sister: Dorothy OIson-Larson; 2 brothers in law: Don Larson and Earl Klein; and a son in law: Bill Braun.
