Geraldine R. Wilson, 83 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

Geraldine was born on February 17, 1941 in Missouri and adopted by a family in Gary, Indiana. She was raised and attended school in Gary and then attended Purdue University where she received her degree in nursing. Geraldine primarily worked as an LPN over the years but she also owned and operated 3 Little Pigs BBQ Restaurant in Indiana for several years as well. Geraldine lived in Indiana and New Mexico before moving to Sioux City, Iowa. She there met her partner of over 24 years, David Boettger of Le Mars, and they made their home in Le Mars.

Geraldine enjoyed going fishing and camping. She was a great cook and liked to watch game shows and church on the television. Geraldine was an artist and could find a purpose for almost any item to use in her many crafting projects. She made stained glass windows, birdhouses, jewelry boxes, and many more treasured items.

Geraldine is survived by her partner, David Boettger; children: Melanie (Brian) Gottsche of Hinton, IA, Melissa (Rick) Zimmerman of Le Mars, Michelle (Rob Turner) Graveney of Le Mars, and Matthew (Jen Bernard) Boettger of Le Mars; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and other extended relatives.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents and brother.
