Glen William Lueders was born on March 19, 1926 to Henry and Minna (Mueller) Lueders on their farmstead in Wayne County, Nebraska. He attended school at District 15 in Thurston County, Nebraska; he finished the 8th grade and then stayed home to farm with his parents. Glen was united in marriage to Helen Lewin on May 28, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Thurston, Nebraska. They were blessed to celebrate their 76th wedding anniversary in 2022. They made their home on a farm in Emerson, Nebraska and farmed from 1946 until their retirement in 1981. Glen sold Vigortone feed until 1990 where he won many awards and went on many trips. He and Helen then moved to an acreage south of their farm. Glen and Helen also started traveling south to New Mexico in 1986. In 2020, Glen and Helen moved to Prime Living in Le Mars and in 2022, Glen moved to Accura Healthcare in Le Mars.

Glen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Emerson for 84 years. He belonged to the Lutheran Brotherhood for over 65 years and served on the church council. As a young man Glen enjoyed playing baseball, pitching fast pitch softball, golf, and bowling; he even bowled a 300 game in 1964. He also was an avid fisherman; he started fishing in Minnesota in 1965 and fished every summer until 2020. He loved to host and fry fish for fish fry's.

Glen was a very social person; he made a new friend wherever he went. He loved to play cards; his opponent could always count on him for a friendly tease or banter. He also loved to share mornings with coffee, cookies, and a discussion over the latest news.

Glen is survived by his three children: Dale (Paula) Lueders of Lincoln, NE, Donna (Bob) O'Neill of Le Mars, IA, and Denis (Janeen) Lueders of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter in law, Vel Lueders of Columbus, NE; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and sister in law, Kay (Dick) Miller of Lincoln, NE.

Glen is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen (October 27, 2022);  son, Danial Lueders; his only brother, Harold (Adell) Lueders; four brothers in law: Robert (Doreen) Lewin, Kenny Lewin, Harold (Alice) Lewin, and Paul (Jean) Lewin; sister in law, Mary Belle (Gene) Sebade; and nephew, Larry Lueders.

A special thank you to the staff and residents at Prime Living and Accura Healthcare of Le Mars for all the care and kindness they gave to both Helen and Glen.
