Harold L. Bolton, 79, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Harold was born on January 13, 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa and was adopted by Lewis and Ethel Bolton. He was raised in Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1958. Harold worked a few miscellaneous jobs before beginning a long time career as a truck driver. Harold hauled livestock and took great pride in his work. He was passionate about treating the livestock he hauled with great care and respect. Harold was united in marriage to Sarah 'Sally' Griffin and they had four children: Ben, Suzanne, Ronald, and Colleen. They later divorced.

Harold enjoyed watching movies and listening to music, especially classical music. He loved to read books, specifically history, and enjoyed art and flower gardens.

Harold is survived by his children: Ben (Tina) Bolton of California, Suzanne Heeren of Beresford, South Dakota, Ronald Bolton of California, Colleen (Doug) Hoppe of Le Mars, Iowa, and Rachael Smith of Florida; grandchildren: Shannon (Steve) Ivarsen, Gordan Finch, Cody (Stacy) Heeren, Elizabeth (Keo) Bolton, Benjamin (Lily) Bolton, Justin (Linette) Hoppe, Steven Smith, and Samantha Smith; and 14 great grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents.
