Henry Rexwinkel, 99, of Orange City, Iowa, formerly of Alton, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, Iowa.

A visitation with the family present will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Alton Reformed Church.  A family prayer service will be at 10:00 am, at the church, followed by interment at the Nassau Township Cemetery, rural Alton, Iowa.  A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the church with Pastor Scott Bonestroo officiating.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials can be made in Henry's name to the Alton Reformed Church.

Henry John Rexwinkel, the son of John C. and Alice (Beltman) Rexwinkel, was born on August 13, 1924, on the family farm in Nassau Township, rural Sioux County, Iowa. He attended school in Alton, Iowa. Following his schooling, he began farming with his father. He continued farming until retiring in 1986. In 1996, he moved to Alton, Iowa. He lived in Alton until moving to the Landsmeer Ridge Retirement Community in Orange City in 2015. For the past couple of years, he has been a resident of Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City.

He was a member of the Alton Reformed Church. Henry enjoyed going to the OK Café in Alton for dinner. He also enjoyed taking rides in the country, checking out the crops.

Survivors include his sister, Alma Noe of Orange City, Iowa; two nephews, John (Lorene) Rexwinkel of Le Mars, IA, and Cleland (Sony) Noe of Wilmette, IL; and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alice Rexwinkel; his brother, Joseph (Bertha) Rexwinkel; a brother-in-law, Ivan Noe; and a niece, Barbara Rexwinkel.
