Janette Coover , 71, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Unity Point Health - St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Reverend Timothy Geitz will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from noon until service time on Friday at church and following the services during a time of lunch and fellowship at the church. Janette Sue Kruse was born September 29, 1950 in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Urban and Verda (Frauhiger) Kruse. She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1968. She attended college in Mankato, Minnesota and received her associate degree in Business Administration from Mankato Community College.

Following college, she began her career at Well's Dairy Incorporated at their corporate office. She worked there for 39 years until her retirement.

She was united in marriage to Robert Coover on February 26, 1988 at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. He passed away December 15, 2012.

Janette was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Her faith was very important to her, and she shared that with many catechism students while teaching classes for over 40 years at Grace Lutheran.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, weaving, and collecting bells.

Survivors include her son, Brandon Coover of Le Mars; a sister, Mary Ann (Kraig) Johnson of Rockford, MI, and their children, Krista, Ryan, Candice, and Wesley; a brother, Wayne (Lynette) Kruse of Le Mars, IA, and their sons, Jerrid and Joel; a sister, Janna (Vernon) Sitzmann of Le Mars, IA, and their children, Lauri, Alicia, Brad, and Jake; a nephew, Joe Cooper of Tea, SD; and several great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Verda Kruse; her husband, Robert Coover; her sister, Sharon Kruse; and a nephew, Adam Cooper.
