Jeanne Woll, 86, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 2026, in Sioux City, Iowa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Father Doug Klein will celebrate Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials can be made to Gehlen Catholic School.
Jeanne Marie Ruden, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Goetzinger) Ruden, was born on June 14, 1940, in Le Mars, Iowa. She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1958. Jeanne worked for the Le Mars Globe Post and later for Le Mars Savings Bank.
She was united in marriage to Larry ‘Butch’ Woll on November 29, 1969, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. They lived in Maine for a short time while Butch was in the service. In 1970, they returned to Le Mars. Jeanne was a homemaker for her family. In the late 80’s, she worked as an office manager for a few real estate agencies in Le Mars. She did that until her retirement. Butch passed away on October 8, 2016. Jeanne continued to make her home in Le Mars.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Le Mars. She was also a member of Wasmer American Legion Auxiliary Post 241 of Le Mars for many years. Over the years, Jeanne enjoyed baking, reading, bowling, fishing, and gardening. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Survivors include her sons: Tom (Donna) Woll of Sioux Falls, SD, and Chuck Woll of Sioux City, IA; her grandchildren: Scott Woll, Matt Woll, Jennifer Woll (Carter Harrison) and her daughter, Sophie Jean, Wes Woll, and Charlie Woll; her sister, Cy Ahlers of Le Mars, IA; her brother, Tom (Marva) Ruden of East Alton, IL; her in laws: Paul (Lois) Woll of Worthington, MN, Denny (Phyllis) Woll of Le Mars, IA, Ed (Alice) Woll of Omaha, NE, and Mark (Robynne) Woll of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Ruden; her father and mother in law, Leonard and Dolores Woll; step father in law, Floyd Hall; her husband, Larry ‘Butch’ Woll; and her siblings: Florence (Bernie) Madsen, Mary Ann (LeRoy) Mousel-Von Arb, Joseph ‘Joe’ (Bonnie) Ruden, Ray (Lorraine) Ruden, Eldon (Mildred) Ruden, Leland (Erma) Bush, Walter Ruden USN, Harold (Gracie) Ruden, and Silvius (Margie) Ruden; and her brothers in law, Robert Ahlers and Melvin Von Arb.
