JoAnn was united in marriage to Norbert Evans on May 26, 1973 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars.  JoAnn continued working at the bank until their daughter Jennie was born.  She became a homemaker for her family and helped her mother with catering events for Harker's Food Service.  She enjoyed watching her granddaughter, Chloé, growing up and attending all her school events, concerts, and piano competitions.

JoAnn had a kind and caring soul and will be remembered by all for her warm laughter, thoughtful advice, her fondness of Martha Stewart, and love of Snickers bars.
