Remembered as a loving and compassionate wife, mother, and grandmother, Karen Calsbeek was reunited with God and her beloved husband on Sunday, April 7, 2024. She will forever be cherished and missed by many.

Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday and will continue until the service time. A private family burial will be held at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa. Karen Ann Frazee was born on September 6, 1949 in Sioux City, Iowa to Richard and Violet (Shannon) Frazee. She cherished her childhood of being the oldest of 11 brothers and sisters. Karen met her late husband, Conrad Calsbeek, in Sioux City and they were married on September 9, 1967 in Sioux City, Iowa. Together they raised four beautiful daughters: Leona, Pamela, Becky, and Melinda. Their lives were centered around God and family, creating lasting traditions cherished today by their 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Karen was a long-time member at Sunnybrook Community Church in Sioux City, Iowa. She enjoyed going camping, playing cards, and tending to her flower gardens.

Karen is survived by her four daughters: Leona (Jim) Martin of Le Mars, Iowa, Pam (Rory Meier) Davis of Sioux City, Iowa, Becky (Kris) Lutt of Decatur, Illinois, and Melinda (Jason) Stough of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren: Matthew, Brittany, Kelsea (Jordan), Cassandra (Kolin), Danielle (Tim), Katlynn, Ashley (Oliver), Breanna (Lukas), Jared, and Madelynn; six great grandchildren: Aiden, Myles, Gwen, Lydia, Kinsley, and Elijah; five siblings: Bonnie (Dave) Solano, Janice Bach, Martin (Christine) Frazee, Don (Kim) Frazee, and Lori (Ben) Ludeking; sisters in law: Nancy Frazee and Brenda Dowd; siblings in law: Jeri Waddle, Brad (Marlene) Calsbeek, and Belvia (Brian) Banks; nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Calsbeek; her parents, Richard and Violet Frazee; parents in law, Jerome and Iva Calsbeek; brothers: Richard, Kenneth, Dennis, Dean, and Terry; brother in law, Will Waddle; and nephew, Thad Brand.
