Kay Ruden , 59, of Le Mars, Iowa, formerly of Marcus, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at MercyOne in Sioux City, Iowa.

Celebration of Life Service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Kay's name to the Siouxland Humane Society.

Kay Marie Radcliffe was born May 31, 1960 in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Bill and Lucy (Palmer) Radcliffe. She was raised in Marcus, Iowa, where she attended school. She graduated from Marcus High School in 1978. She attended college and received her B.A. She continued her education at the University of Iowa, where she received her master's degree in Social Work. Kay worked for many years in Social Work. She worked for the 185 ^th Air Refueling Wing in Sioux City until her retirement in 2012.

In 1983, she was married. To this union, a son, Matthew DeBoer was born. She later married Bob Ruden on March 7, 2012. They made their home in Marcus until 2013, when they moved to an acreage near Le Mars.

Kay was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. She loved dogs, especially her bulldog, "Blondie Girl". She also enjoyed shopping and camping. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her family. Kay was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grammy.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Ruden of Le Mars; her son: Matthew (Brandy) DeBoer of Granville, Iowa, and their children, Baily and Olivia; her sister: Julie (Chuck) Stofferan of Marcus, Iowa; her step children: Sara Lariviere, Kyle Ruden, Liz Ruden, and Rachel (Aaron) Kellen, all of Le Mars, IA; her sister in law: Vicki Radcliffe of Cherokee, Iowa; 3 nieces: Erica Stofferan of Marcus, Breeann (Chris) Bohnenkamp of Remsen, IA, and Brittany Radcliffe of Marcus; one nephew: Alex Stofferan of Marcus, IA; and several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and in laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lucy Radcliffe; and her brother, Robert Radcliffe.
