Kendall Lang, 87, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Accura HealthCare of Le Mars.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton, Iowa. Reverend Alex Kaldahl will officiate. Burial with military honors provided by the Oleson-Halweg American Legion Post 125 of Merrill, Iowa, will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hinton. Visitation with the family present will be from noon until service time on Thursday, June 25, 2026, and following the service during a light reception, all at Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.
Kendall Paul Lang, the son of Harold and Louise (Schoenrock) Lang, was born on April 28, 1939, in Le Mars, Iowa. He grew up on the family farm south of Le Mars. He attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Central High School in 1957. Following high school, he attended Iowa State University and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1961.
Kendall served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. He was stationed at the White Sands Missile range in New Mexico where he helped with the testing of how to drop equipment from a helicopter in support of the battles within the Vietnam jungles. Following his discharge, Kendall returned to the Le Mars area and the family farm, taking over the reins from his father in 1981, when Harold moved to town. Kendall also did plumbing for a local plumber and helped out area farmers.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton, Iowa, where he ushered for many years. He also was a member of the Oleson-Halweg American Legion Post 125 of Merrill, Iowa. Kendall was an avid bowler for many years.
He survived by his four nieces, Nancy, Nicki, Natalie, and Noelle; and other extended relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Louise Lang; his sister, Neva (Noel) Fries; and his brothers, Daniel Lang and David Lang.
