Linda Baack, 79, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Reverend Douglas Klein will celebrate Mass.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  There will be a Scriptural Prayer Service at 5:30 p.m.  Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

Linda Marie Shearon, the daughter of John and Marita (Masuen) Shearon, was born on July 12, 1944, in Le Mars, Iowa.  She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1962.  Following her schooling, she went to work at the Pantry Café in Le Mars.

She was united in marriage to Raymond Baack on October 4, 1969, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  The couple made their home in Le Mars.  Linda worked as an in-home daycare provider for many years.  Ray passed away February 11, 2005.  In June of 2021, Linda became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.

Linda was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Le Mars.  She was a former member of the Wasmer American Legion Post 241 Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing and listening to 50's and 60's music.  She and Ray enjoyed taking many trips to Branson, MO, and Las Vegas, NV.  She also enjoyed gatherings with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Baack of Sheldon, IA; her siblings: Patrick Shearon of Des Moines, IA, Thomas Shearon of Olathe, KS, and Judy Ulrich of Ashton, IA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marita Shearon; her husband, Ray Baack; her nephew, Michael Shearon; a great niece, Alyssah Martinez; a great nephew, Brogan Thoms Wilson; and multiple aunts and uncles.
