Louise Ann (Blaha) Downey, 90, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on May 25, 2025.

She was born on April 8, 1935 in St. Paul, NE to Jacob & Christina Blaha and was married to Robert Downey on July 18, 1953, in Grand Island, NE.

After they were married, they lived in York, NE, Lincoln, NE, Grand Island, NE, Sioux City, IA, Coon Rapids, MN, Sunrise Beach, MO, Raymore, MO and Le Mars, IA. During this time, she raised 3 children, loved doing jigsaw puzzles, oil painting and reading books.  She also loved to make "mumu's" for herself and her granddaughters. She and Bob loved to travel with their camper and also going on cruises. She loved bird watching, playing card games, and watching Dancing with the Stars, Nebraska Football, & Kansas City Chiefs Football.

Louise is survived by her three children & spouses: Rod & Anne Downey of Raymore, MO, Dan & Dawn Downey of Lincoln, NE, and Kathy & Jay King of Le Mars, Iowa; and her sister-in-law, Charlotte Cason of Madison, FL.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren and their spouses:  Nikky & Cory Pierce, Cody & Chantell Downey, Jennifer & Seth Hofstetter, April & Jason Mullally, Lindsey Downey, Brandi & Clay Brunson, Autumn & Bruce Bradbury, Brooke & Bud Davis and Casey & Travis Barnes; and 14 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Blaha; her father and mother: Jacob & Christina Blaha; her husband, Robert Downey; a brother, Clayton Blaha; two sisters: Elna Blaha Torres and Lucille Blaha Crehan.

Family will be having private services.
