Lynne J. (Heck) Pippett, 68 of Le Mars, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on February 22, 2025.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. There will be a private family burial at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation with the family present will be from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Lynne JoLene Heck was born June 20, 1956 to Gene and Fern (Hamilton) Heck. She has two older brothers, Tom and Terry, and two younger brothers, Tim and Todd, and a younger sister, Loriann, who she doted on, often calling her "Her Little Miss America".  They all grew up on Tyler Street in Leeds within a very tight community.  A lifelong friendship with Deb (Loebsack) Clayton was forged, which continues to this day.

Lynne attended Leeds High School and as a senior the new North High School opened, from where she graduated in 1974.  In October 1973 she met Martin Pippett.  From a Halloween first date to a March 8th wedding, they had a whirlwind romance.  Last year we celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Over the next five years Lynne & Martin welcomed four children: Marcy, Marty, Chris, and Craig; Michael rounded off the family five years later.  During this time there were many moves and many business adventures including Pizza City, a plaster shop in Sioux City and Le Mars, and Mr. P's Pizza in Sioux City and Le Mars.  In 1985, the family moved to rural Merrill which became their home for more than 20 years.  Over the years Lynne worked at Walmart, and was the circulation director for the Sioux City Journal and the LeMars Daily Sentinel.

Lynne enjoyed many hobbies including thrifting, collecting tea pots, crafts, scrapbooking, and sewing. She got a great thrill out of sending cards filled with confetti and calling to sing Happy Birthday to her loved ones. Her real passion in life was people.  She had a unique ability to listen and ask questions which often had people sharing their entire life story with her. She was genuine, full of advice, sometimes inappropriate, and so, so very kind.  Her family was her everything and she loved immensely.

Family left to continue her legacy are: her devoted husband, Martin Pippett of LeMars; her 5 children, 20 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren: daughter, Marcy (Ira) Wall, Asher and Emma; son, Marty & (Maria) Pippett, Maddilyn, Makenzie, and Mason; son, Christopher Pippett & Stacey Mullally, Kaynan & Andrew Eastep, Bexley, and Benson, Gavin & AnnaMae, Keegan, and Alex Pippett, Trisha, CJ, and Annie Zertuche and Zachary De Jong; son, Craig (Colette) Pippett, Hayden and Braxton; and son, Michael (Sara) Pippett, Wyatt, and Charlie Pippett, Hannah Pippett and Baylor Bakker, and Natalie Waldman; her siblings: Debbie Heck, Terry & Rochelle Heck, Tim Heck, Todd & Lisa Heck, and Loriann Nelson; her best friend, Debbie Clayton; and many, many others who were blessed to be related to or had the pleasure to be close to her.

She is reunited in heaven by her parents, Gene & Fern Heck; parents in law, Edward and Eldora Pippett; brother, Tom Heck; granddaughter, Daisy Pippett; and her beloved dog, Jaxon.
