Mae (Maezie) Stevie Anthony passed away at Unity Point Hospital surrounded by her family on May 26, 2023, fourteen days after her nine month birthday.

She blessed the world when she was born on August 12, 2022 to Taylor (Miralles) and Steve Anthony. She was named after her great-grandfather, Leonard Maynard Campbell, who was born 100 years earlier. Her parents had waited 5 years hoping for a third child. She was everything they dreamed of and more.

During her short but impactful time on earth, Mae was almost always smiling. She had a zest for life that the rest of the world should have. She loved to raise her hands to be picked up and walked around. She was just learning to crawl independently and searched for her family members in different rooms whenever she had the chance. She also enjoyed walking if an adult or one of her sisters, Hannah or Norah, would be willing to hold her hands so that she could keep her balance. She enjoyed her table food with family and cuddles with her parents and her sisters. She always wanted to be a big girl. Mae also enjoyed playing in the water; she even went down the water slide at Sioux Nami with her dad holding her. She looked up to the big kids around her but especially her big sisters. She traveled well watching her two sisters compete in swim meets and watched her dad run a marathon in Pennsylvania.

Mae was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Marie Miralles, and her paternal grandfather, John Anthony. Mae is survived by her parents, her big sisters, Hannah and Norah, her paternal grandma, Deb Anthony, three aunts, two uncles, and four cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Parish - St. James Church in Le Mars, IA with Father David Hemann celebrating. Visitation with the family present will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 .m., all at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Mae's name. The family asks that family and friends wear an assortment of bright colors to celebrate our sweet rainbow baby.

Mae will always be remembered for her beautiful smile.
