Margaret "Margie" Moir , 83, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Accura HealthCare of Le Mars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars.  Reverend Bruce Lawler will celebrate Mass.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church.  There will be a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Parish Rosary.  Social distancing and wearing a mask will be required.  Services will be uploaded to the funeral home website following the services.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Margie's name to Siouxland Alzheimer's Association and Gehlen Catholic School.

Margaret Anne Hall was born July 29, 1937 in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Vincent Floyd and Martha (Paulsen) Hall.  She started her schooling in Moville, Iowa.  Margie, a progressive and athletic individual, played 2 ^nd base on an all boy's baseball team.  Her family moved to Le Mars in 1951.  She graduated from Gehlen Catholic in 1955.  Following high school, she attended St. Anthony Nursing School in Carroll, Iowa, graduating in 1958.

She was united in marriage to Jim Moir on January 3, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.

They lived in Scottsbluff, Nebraska until moving to Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1963.  Throughout her career as a Registered Nurse, she had several different specialties including pediatrics and behavioral health.  After moving to Le Mars in 1976, Margie pursued her interest in behavioral health as a psychiatric nurse for Plains Area Mental Health.  Margie derived a sense of purpose and meaning by helping others achieve spiritual and emotional wellness. Margie worked for Plains Area Mental Health until her retirement.  One of the programs she was proud of was the Elderly Peers Program which she developed for Plains Area Mental Health Center.  Margie also served as interim Director for Plains Area Mental on several occasions.  She also taught nursing classes for Western Iowa Community College.

Service to others was core to her identity.  She was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Le Mars, was instrumental in fundraising efforts to build the new church and served as a Lay Pastoral Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church for 6 years.  She served as a trustee on the Floyd Valley Healthcare Board for 22 years.  She was a recipient of the Governor's Volunteer Award.  Reflective of her love of athletics and service, she was a junior high school softball, basketball, volleyball and track coach.  Margie enjoyed waterskiing, fishing, reading, and watching the Dodgers play baseball. She and Jim enjoyed dancing and spending time at their cabin in Minnesota.  Margie's greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jim of Le Mars; 4 children: Matthew (Regan) Moir of Kodiak, AK, Anne (Brad) Lubben of Coon Rapids, MN, Amy (Pat) Haun of Camarillo, CA, and Mark (Kate) Moir of Evergreen, CO; 16 grandchildren: Madison Moir, Morgan Moir, Jade Colmyer, Joshua Lubben, Megan Mack, Lindsey Howe, Emilio Galan, Marta Galan, Brad Haun, Lindsey Moir, Rebecca Moir, Eric Havey, Amy Moir, Ryan Havey, Mary Moir, and Thomas Havey; 7 great grandchildren; her brother, Michael (Pat) Hall of Florida; her sister, Mary (Tom) Gengerke of Spirit Lake, IA; her in laws, Laraine Hall of Camarillo, CA, Steve (Pat) Moir of Cody, WY, and Ann (Ron) Nitzschke of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, V.F. and Martha Hall; her father and mother in law, Earl and Margaret Moir; 3 brothers, Mark Hall in infancy, Don (Laura) Hall, and Joe Hall; and her brother in law, Michael Moir.
