Marilyn Bayles , 86, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at Heritage Pointe in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Marilyn Ruth Kloster, the daughter of Nis and Emma (Smeenk) Kloster, was born October 4, 1936, in Le Mars, Iowa. She attended school in Le Mars. She was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Bayles on August 24, 1954. Early on, they made their home in Colorado where Dick was a schoolteacher. They moved to Boston for a short time before returning to Colorado. In 1968, they moved back to Le Mars. Marilyn was a homemaker for her family for most of her life. Later, she did in home daycare until her retirement. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska in February of 2019. Richard passed away February 8, 2019.

Through the years, Marilyn enjoyed camping and sewing.

Survivors include her children: Jeff (Sharon) Bayles of Columbus, NE, Barry (Kim) Bayles of Owatonna, MN, and Damon (Monica) Bayles of Omaha, NE; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her sisters: Judy Brunn of Texas, Sharon Sumners of Missouri, and Twyila (Tom) Miller Le Mars, IA; two sisters in law: Jayne Kloster of Georgia and Cheryl Kloster of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Bayles; and two brothers: Roger Kloster and Gilbert Kloster.
