Marsha (Kilstrom) Watts, 73 of Akron, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 in Akron, Iowa.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 3 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Marsha Lynn Kilstrom was born on December 26, 1949 in Akron, Iowa to Gordon and Marian (McDougall) Kilstrom. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron. She attended and graduated from Akron High School in 1968. She then attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing.  Marsha had a long career in nursing and even taught nursing classes. She made her home in Sioux City after graduating college where she worked for many years at St. Joseph's Hospital and retired after 30 years from Mercy Medical Center. She also taught BSN classes at Morningside College and worked at Mercy Care Choices for 15 years.

Marsha was united in marriage to Richard Watts on October 29, 1977 and they had two children: Nichole and Brian. They later divorced. Marsha moved back to Akron in 1992.

Marsha was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. She enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, playing piano and listening to music. Her favorite time was spent with her beloved pets and family, especially her grandchildren.

Marsha is survived by her children: Nichole Zoeller (Jim Mart) and Brian (Lisa) Watts; grandchildren: Olivia Zoeller, Alora Watts, and Kegan Lyons; brothers: Kent (Julie) Kilstrom and Steven Kilstrom: nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents and son in law, Michael Zoeller.
