Marvin Huebner, 61, of Emmetsburg, Iowa, formerly of Akron, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at his home in Emmetsburg, Iowa.

Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron.  Pastor Susan Juilfs from Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron will officiate.  Military honors will be provided by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron.  Visitation with the family present will be from noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.  Local arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

Marvin Daniel Huebner, son of Melvin and Irma "Mary" (Kleisla) Huebner, was born July 8, 1960 in Akron, Iowa.  He attended school in Sioux City, Omaha and completed his education in Emmetsburg, graduating from Emmetsburg High School in 1979.  Following high school, Marvin served in the United States Army from 1979 until 1983.

Marvin was employed as a brick and block layer.  He was a union member in Chicago laying brick.  Marvin loved music, especially listening  to Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and Jazz.  He was a D.J. over the internet, as music was his passion.  Marvin had a dog, Tank who was the love of his life.  While living in Akron, Marvin served as Commander of the Akron American Legion Post.

He is survived by his brother, Mike Huebner of Akron, Iowa; his sister, Margaret Crawford of Lombard, Illinois; a niece Kasey Edwards and her husband, Joseph McKnight of Emmetsburg, Iowa; grand niece and nephew, James and Emily Pietrarosso; a great grand nephew, Halen Pietrarosso; his stepson, Justin Fay; grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Fay; his uncle and godfather, Rich Huebner (Francis); godmother, Norma Huebner; as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mary.
