Norma Bernice De Boer was born on June 17, 1930 in Ireton, Iowa to George and Henrietta (Borgman) De Boer. She attended country school in Sioux County and graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1949.  Norma lived in Sioux Center with her aunt after graduation where she primarily worked at Schalekamp's Pharmacy as well as part time as a seamstress at Boschs Clothing Store.

Norma was united in marriage to Marvin James Korver on June 10, 1953 at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, Iowa. They moved several times before making their home on a farm in Plymouth County. Norma worked alongside on the farm with Marvin; she helped with chores and the farm bookkeeping. She was a wonderful cook who provided many meals to the farm crews who helped with baling hay and shelling corn. She had a large garden and canned much of her produce. She sewed or mended many clothing items for her family and her home was always well kept. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and she never arrived empty handed, she always had food to share.

Norma and Marvin loved to travel and did many trips after retiring. They traveled to Israel, Canada, and most of the continental United States along with Hawaii and Alaska. Norma's favorite trips were the ones on cruise ships.

Norma was a long-time member of the Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Le Mars. She was often volunteering for various church fundraisers with the ladies' group. Norma had a gift for making pies. She started making pies for a church fundraiser with a few church members which later grew into over 500 pies sold a year. She also made really great 'pigs in a blanket' for the election soup supper at church and her own family holidays.

Norma is survived by her four children: Dale Korver of Des Moines, IA, Bruce (JoAnn) Korver of Maurice, IA, David (Rhonda Heston) Korver of SE Kansas, and Mary (Dan) Buckhaus of Montfort, WI; eleven grandchildren: Amanda, James, Emily, Maria, Benjamin, Christy, Rachel, Jon, Justin, Ellie, and Sarah; 23 great grandchildren with one more on the way; brother, Irwin (Karen) De Boer; siblings in law: Lorraine Brink and Alvin De Wild; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives and friends.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents; parents in law: Henry M. and Grace (Muyskens) Korver; husband, Marvin (January 11, 2025); grandson, Kelly Joel Korver; siblings: Theran (Wilma) (Lillian) De Boer, Audrey (Merlin) Heemstra, Ila (Tunis) Cleveringa, Leon De Boer, and Colleen De Boer; siblings in law: Wilma (Roger) Petersen, Marlys De Wild, Loretta (Henry) De Haan, Cornelius 'Case' (Gladys) Korver, and Stan Brink.
