Orville Feauto , 89, of Akron, Iowa, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron.  Father Paul Nguyen will celebrate Mass with Deacon Richard Port assisting.  Burial with military honors provided by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Akron.  Visitation with the family present will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron.  There will be a Scriptural Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Parish Rosary.  Visitation will resume from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to Mass.  Following the burial, there will be a dinner and fellowship at St. Patrick's Parish Hall in Akron with a Celebration of Life and live music at 6:00 p.m.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Akron.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

Orville Francis Feauto, the last surviving son of Ambrose and Clara (Buryanek) Feauto, was born August 29, 1933 in Akron, Iowa.  He attended school in Westfield and graduated from Westfield High School.  He began farming with his father.

He was united in marriage to Marlene Simek on February 19, 1955, in Akron, Iowa.  In October of that year, he was drafted into the United States Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict.  He attained the rank of Sgt E5.  He was honorably discharged in September of 1961.  Following his discharge, he returned to Plymouth County and continued farming.  After their retirement from farming, they moved to Akron.

Orville was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron.  He was also a member of the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron and Plymouth County Farm Bureau.  Orville had a strong faith and loved music and could be heard singing many country gospel songs.  He played and sang in many bands over the years.  In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball.  His family was his greatest gift.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene of Akron, IA; his son: Dennis (Tammy) Feauto of Sioux City, IA; his daughter: Cheryl Beach (fiancé, Scott Hall) of Hawarden, IA; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.
