Patricia "Patty" Borchers , 80, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

Patricia Conrath Palmer, the daughter of Robert and Hilda Grace (Conrath) Palmer, was born on November 4, 1941, in Hell's Kitchen, New York.  Patty graduated from Redondo Beach High School class of 59'.

Patty was united in marriage to Clayton "Clay" Borchers on March 19, 1965, in California.  Following their marriage, they moved to Le Mars.  Clay worked full time as a truck driver, Patty earned her CDL so she would accompany him on many of his trips. She also worked as a homemaker, and after that she worked for Harker's Inc in LeMars from 79 to 94. After retirement Clay and Patty made their home in Sun City West Arizona.

Patty also worked in the Sun City West Recreation Center and was the President of the Ceramics Club.

Patty and Clay were always renovating their home, from their home in LeMars to Sun City West, plans were always in the making to remodel this, or redo that.  Patty also loved crafting, any kind, from painting to ceramics to flower arranging.

Survivors include her children: Trina (Ron) Norgaard in Arlington, SD, Nick Borchers of Sun City West, AZ, Gary (Peg) Borchers of Sturgis, SD, and Kim (significant other, Chris) Borchers of Merrill, IA; grandchildren: Ryan (Hannah) Gengler, Dylan Norgaard, Anthony Abbott, and Paige Pederson; 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; her brother, Robert Palmer of Austin TX; a sister, Anita Brock of Houston, TX; and other extended relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clay Borchers; her son, Tony Borchers; and her brother, Geoffrey Palmer.
