Patricia Freking, 72, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Accura Healthcare of Le Mars.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Le Mars Bible Church in Le Mars. Pastor Mike Hulinsky will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. and following the service during a time of lunch and fellowship, all on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Le Mars Bible Church. Patricia Jo Freking, the daughter of Leo and Therese (Heuertz) Freking, was born on August 18, 1953, in Le Mars, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School.

Patty began working for Vander Meer Bakery in Le Mars before going to work as a C.N.A. at Happy Siesta Heath Care in Remsen. Later, she worked for Hardee's and Walmart in Le Mars. The job she enjoyed the most was taking care of children in the nursery at the Le Mars Bible Church.

She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. She was currently a member of the Le Mars Bible Church. She loved watching Hallmark movies, reading her Bible, and collecting dolls. She enjoyed traveling with family to Missouri to visit her sister for many years. Going to garage sales, flea markets, and antique store was also a joy for her. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and her senior companion, Rose Peters.

Survivors include her siblings: Connie (Steve) Christensen of Granville, IA, Paul (Sharon) Freking of Le Mars, IA, and Cheryl (Dave) Lorenzen of Waukee, IA; her brother in law, Robert 'Butch' Wente of Springfield, MO; her aunt, Shirley Jaminet of Remsen, IA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Therese Freking; and her sister, Ann Wente.
