Patsy Ann Dimmick, 87 of Elk Point, SD, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Akron Care Center in Akron, IA.

Abiding by her wishes, her family will be having private services.

Patsy Ann Lanning was born on October 13, 1935 to John and Clara (Warren) Lanning in rural Union County, SD. She attended and graduated from Elk Point High School in 1953.

Patsy was united in marriage to Dellis M. Dimmick on December 22, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa and they made their home in rural Akron, SD. Patsy worked as a bookkeeper for a number of businesses over the years; her attention to detail and dedication to her work made Patsy a wonderful bookkeeper.  She did the bookwork for their farm, trucking, and pest control businesses as well as Grandy Pratt Insurance Agency, Higman Sand and Gravel, Akron Jo's Café, and Central Assembly of God.

Patsy was a long-time member of the Central Assembly of God Church in Sioux City, Iowa. It was important to her to share about Jesus with those around her.  Patsy loved to grow flowers, bird watch, and was a great cook. Her favorite time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Del loved attending their games and activities.

She is survived by her son, Jon Dimmick of Vermillion, SD; Jon's children: Austin Martensen and Jessica Martensen, and her son, Zayden Martensen of Vermillion, SD; her daughter, Amy (James) Frankl of Akron, IA and their sons: Alexander (Hannah) Frankl of Sioux Center, IA and their children: Aria Frankl, Mason Frankl, and one on the way; Spencer (Cali) Frankl of Akron, IA and their children: Delta Frankl and Teddy Frankl; and Reagan Frankl (Lea Peterson) of Mankato, MN.

Patsy is preceded by her husband, Dellis; parents, John and Clara Lanning; parents in law, Elmer and Lorraine Dimmick; brothers: Ronald Lanning, Robert (Lucille) Lanning, John (Judy) Lanning, and infant brother Donald Lanning; grandson, Dustin Sundstrom; nephew, Daniel Lanning; sister-in-law, Mardeen Lanning; brother-in-law, Delvin Dimmick; and many other relatives and friends.
