Randall 'Randy' Grasz , 71, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Reverend Timothy Geitz from Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars will officiate.  Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hinton, Iowa.  Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.  Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

Randall Ray Grasz, the son of Lester and Ruth (Ludwigs) Grasz was born July 30, 1950, in Le Mars, Iowa.  He grew up near Hinton, Iowa, and graduated from Hinton High School in 1969.  Following high school, he attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa and received his training and degree as a powerline worker.  He began working for R.E.C. in Moville, Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Sandra Hanks on May 13, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hinton. They made their home near Hinton.  Randy continued to work for R.E.C. for a short time.  He also farmed east of Hinton and west of Le Mars.  He was also a heavy equipment operator for area contractors, including Kellen Excavating in Le Mars.  He also did custom work for area farmers.  Sandra passed away October 4, 1999.

He was united in marriage to Sheila Ford on February 14, 2003, at Faith Lutheran Church in Sioux City.  Randy then moved to Sioux City.  He continued farming and operating heavy equipment until his retirement.

Randy enjoyed camping, gardening, snowmobiling, and his dogs.  Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Grasz of Sioux City, IA; his mother, Ruth Grasz of Le Mars, IA; a son: Joe (Aleisha) Grasz of Le Mars and their children, Eric, Damion, and Brayden; a daughter: Kris (Mike) Trapp of Sioux City and their children, Jordan and his son, Waylen, Derek, Lauryn, and Nathan; a daughter: Stacie Grasz of Alcester, SD, and her children, Justine, Riley, and Jashua; his sister, Carol (Ralph) Yanacheak of Le Mars; and several in laws, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Grasz; and his wife, Sandy Grasz.
