Richard 'Dick' Livermore, 56, of Le Mars, Iowa, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars. Father Doug Klein will celebrate Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at All Saints Catholic Parish – St. Joseph Church. There will be a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Richard Michael Livermore, the son of Orville 'Hank' and Marjorie (Nemmers) Livermore, was born on June 28, 1969, in Le Mars, Iowa. He attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1987.

Following high school, he attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City before attending Arizona Western Community College in Yuma, AZ, majoring in broadcasting. While there, he was DJ and was also a broadcaster for the San Diego Padres for their spring training games.

He married Michelle Buhman on August 13, 1994.

After a few years, he returned to college at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, where he earned his elementary teaching degree. The couple moved to Arizona, where he taught in inner city Phoenix. In 2012, they moved back to Le Mars. He worked in management at Walmart in Le Mars before going to work as a community living supervisor for Hope Haven in Sioux County, Iowa. He loved his job their and helping those in need.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Le Mars. He was a sports fanatic and an avid fan of the Iowa State Cyclones, Chicago Cubs, and the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He took many fishing trips to Chamberlin. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle of Le Mars; his son, Noah (Ashley) Livermore of Le Mars and their children, Emma and Beau; his mother in law, Louise Buhman of Mesa, AZ; his siblings: Kathy Marienau, Pat (Larry) Beitelspacher, Mary Kay (Greg) Jelken, Jim (Mary) Livermore, John (Kim) Livermore, Betty (Kevin) Loutsch, Nancy (John) Holtgrewe, and Bob (Carol) Livermore, all of Le Mars; his in laws: Vicki Livermore of Le Mars, Amy (Dave) Campbell of Phoenix, AZ, Matthew Buhman of Phoenix, AZ, Tonya Buhman of Sioux City, IA, and Travis Buhman of Sioux City, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Eugene Buhman; his brother, Mike Livermore; brother-in-law, Terry Marienau; and a niece, Ashley Holtgrewe.
