Ronald Morris, 70 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at his home in Le Mars, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be a Masonic Ceremony and Scriptural Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home of Le Mars. There will be a private burial at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will begin at 3:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m., and will continue until the service time all on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home of Le Mars.

Ronald Eugene Morris was born on January 25, 1953 in Norwalk, Iowa to Rev. Milo and Carol (Love) Morris. He was raised in Le Mars, Iowa and graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1971. Ron was united in marriage to Mary Harms on December 9, 1978 in Waterloo, Iowa. Ron worked as a truck driver, driving locally and OTR over the years.

Ron enjoyed reading and watching anything on the History Channel. He also loved gardening and flowers. His favorite time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ron was a long-time member of All Saints Parish in Le Mars, Iowa.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons: Jeremy (Melissa) Morris and Joseph (Danielle) Morris, all of Le Mars, Iowa; grandchildren: Jared (Rachael) Morris, Trevor Morris, Jenna Morris, Emily Ward, Brooklyn Heissel, Beau Heissel, and Carter Heissel; great grandsons: Hudson and Milo Morris; and many others who called him 'Papa'; siblings: Steve (Lynn) Morris of Ankeny, IA, Doug (Sally) Morris of Lonoke, AR, James (Jayne) Morris of Waterloo, IA, and Sandy Morris of Ohio; siblings in law: Lynn (Dave) Ruba of Le Mars, IA, Rose (Bob) Ruba of Clarion, IA, Gene (Chris) Harms of Le Mars, IA, Jim (Amy) Harms of Remsen, IA, Larry (Betty) Harms of Fort Dodge, IA, and Doug (Lori Dolph) Harms of Le Mars, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wes Morris; parents in law, Don and Marlys Harms; and sister in law, Julie Sitzmann.
