Rosalie Barbara (Brouillette) Lade, 80, of Carmichael, CA, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Aegis Living in Carmichael, California.

Funeral Service will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may be expressed to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com .

Rosalie was born and raised in Le Mars as the third child of Freeman 'Frenchy' and Vida (Atwood) Brouillette. She always told great stories of her upbringing in Le Mars.  Rosalie married Albert D. Lade Jr. on December 17, 1958. Together they raised 5 boys. They called several places home including: Hawaii, California, Washington state, and Minnesota; but Iowa was where their hearts were and they returned to Le Mars in 2006 where they lived until Al's passing in 2010. Due to health reasons, Rosalie returned to California where her family could help her more effectively.

Rosalie worked in several professional fields. Some of her more notable and proud ones being a nursing assistant in Minnesota on the OB/Gyn floor where she helped deliver several babies including the daughter of a neighbor and good friend.  She also managed a service station that she and Al owned in California and her last career before retirement was the manager of a floor covering store in California.

Rosalie was a great friend to many as well as a second mom to all the friends of her sons and her many nieces and nephews. She always had good advice and freely shared it when you needed to hear it.

Rosalie is survived by her five sons and eleven grandchildren:  David (Sandee) Lade of Truckee, California and his daughters: Raschell, Sara, and Heather; Chris Lade of Fair Oaks, California and his daughters: Brittany (Shea) Lemos and Melissa; Albert 'Dean' Lade III of Milwaukie, Oregon and his children: Albert 'DJ' Lade IV and Jenna; Byron Lade of  San Jose, California; and Aaron (Megan) Lade of Florence, Oregon and his children: Haley, Macali, XanaMoon, and Aris; two great grandchildren; her brother, Richard (Nina) Brouilette of Wheatland, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Albert.
